Although Alves will be his toughest fight yet, he’s won his last 4 bouts and he’ll come out at the top of this fight which very well might be the Fight of Night at the UFC 117 betting competition.
Clay Guida against Rafeal dos Anjos – Plenty of MMA enthusiasts are almost certainly wondering why Guida is still highlighted on the Main Cards and there’s no great answer for that. Dos Anjos appears to have figured things out though he got off to a difficult start to his UFC career. This is 1 of a variety of bouts featuring an American against a Brazilian. Watch for the Brazilian to wipe the floor with Guida.
Matt Hughes against Ricardo Almeida – Matt Hughes (44-7) is 1 of the toughest men in MMA and nobody wants to see him as their adversary in the Octagon. Almeida has an opportunity to win this 1 despite the fact that he has yet to win a huge competition against a huge name adversary yet in his UFC career. Hughes has gone just 2-2 in his previous two bouts, but look for him to take out the victory in this UFC 117 wagering game.
Roy Nelson against Junior dos Santos – This might be the most lopsided game of the evening. Santos is on his way to a title shot and should dispatch the not very good Nelson with few problems. Roy “Big Country” Nelson is the 1st American to ever fight dos Santos. Both competitors are known for their capability to abruptly end a contest with a KO. They’re also both the only competitors to take below a minute to eliminate Stefan Struve. They have almost the same proportion of victories, but more of dos Santos’ victories came from punches.
