If you adore MMA fight betting on the welterweight fight class and that stable of competitors then you do not want to miss out on the UFC betting odds action.

With the UFC 117 odds filled with a number of the greatest names in the welterweight action, this is arguably one of the most filled welterweight competitions in UFC gambling history. There are a number of great welterweight competitions in the UFC 117 odd action from the preliminary card to the Main Event, and the only big name missing is Georges St Pierre, himself.

St Pierre, the great welterweight victor, isn’t in this lineup and he’ll likely headline a UFC gambling Main Event of his own pretty soon. But practically every other leading contender in the weight class will be included in the UFC 117 wagering action. In fact, it’s not all that much of stretch to picture that one of the welterweight victors will go on to face St Pierre in his next championship defense.

The UFC 117 odds contest features two of the leading contenders in the class, Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves, who will square off on the main card. Their only recent losses have come from St Pierre and these are two of the greatest welterweight competitors on the planet. It’s pretty probable that Fitch will get another shot at St Pierre for the championship if he can get the better of Alves in the UFC 117 gambling action.

Yet Matt Hughes and Ricardo Almeida could have something to say regarding that as these two welterweights will also square off in the UFC 117 wagering action main card. In the Preliminary card there’s also many intriguing competitions that will not likely yield a championship challenger in the near future, but perhaps in a few months to a year we’ll see one of these competitors earn their own championship shot.

Dustin Hazelett and Rick Story will face one another on the prelim card as will Charlie Brenneman and Johny Hendricks. Ben Saunders and Dennis Hallman will be featured in the 3rd welterweight competition in the UFC 117 odds contest.

Hazelett performed his UFC introduction in October of 2006 in a submission loss to Tony DeSouza. Since then, holds a history of 5-2 in the seven more competitions he has been in. Story signed a 4 bout deal with the UFC and was set to be a replacement for Karo Parysian in case he was unable to compete at UFC 94. Story made his introduction losing to John Hathaway at UFC 99 by unanimous decision when that didn’t take place. Hallman is known best for his experience as a grappler since he is a former state champ wrestler. He has appeared in many competition organizations, including UFC, Shooto, IFC, Rumble on the Rock, and King of the Cage. Brenneman made his UFC debut against Jason High in March of this year. Hendricks made his introduction at UFC 101 versus Amir Sadollah in 2009, beating him within 29 seconds of the first round.

Each one of these fighters are an amazing reason to check out the UFC 117 betting action, and they all have great potential.
