The Blackhawks have already made a number of off-season moves but not all of them have been beneficial.

The next 2 teams in NHL future odds are the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins at 14-1. The Bruins made a great run last season but they are not a significant Stanley Cup contender. The Red Wings have plenty of expertise and they are always a threat. With odds of 15-1, last year’s runner-up Philadelphia Flyers is next. The Philadelphia Flyers were fortunate just to make the playoffs, which was a big surprise last season, and repeating a run to the final is extremely improbable in 2010-2011. The Los Angeles Kings and Vancouver Canucks will also be listed with odds of 15-1. The New Jersey Devils are the only other team with odds of below 20-1 as they are 18-1.
Longshots for next season that might surprise include Buffalo at 24-1, Montreal at 25-1, Calgary at 28-1, Colorado and Ottawa at 30-1, Anaheim, Phoenix, St Louis and the New York Rangers at 35-1, Nashville at 40-1 and Tampa Bay at 45-1.
Real long shots include Carolina and Dallas at 50-1, Toronto at 60-1, Atlanta, Florida, Minnesota and Columbus at 65-1, Edmonton and the New York Islanders at 70-1.
